Hi, I’m Phil Thompson, the face behind BoyfromBeyond Photography, a freelance photographer based across Broome and Fremantle, WA.

But, before all this my love for photography began in my early 20's while exploring the outback and remote parts of Australia. Long before social media, I carried a camera everywhere, capturing the raw beauty of the landscape just for the joy of it.

What started as a hobby alongside my hospitality career (running the Sydney Cove Oyster Bar) eventually became a passion I couldn’t ignore. After investing in my first full-frame camera, I began photographing everything from food and fashion to lifestyle and travel.

Today; I specialise in portraits, elopements, lifestyle, and product photography, often set against Australia’s stunning remote backdrops. I feel incredibly fortunate to have turned my creative passion into a full-time career, capturing moments, stories, and the spirit of life beyond the city.
